    I donīt know exactly hou to implement a meter in my mic preamp...

    Is it possible to put a meter before the first stage of the preamp, to measure the microphone input level?

    In the outputs, I would like to know how to calculate the relation between:

    Meter microvolts sensitivity
    Resistor value to subtract line levels
    Dbm Audio level

    Is there a formula to calculate such things?

    Sorry if you find this a silly question!
    Thanks.

    simple and quick answer ... NO :(

    Dbm Audio level
    0dBm=1mW across a 600 ohm load

    Meter microvolts sensitivity
    +4 = 1.23 V ( 0 = 0.707 V ... ?? I've gone blank ?? )

    Resistor value to subtract line levels
    Use a simple divider.

    For more on this do check out the Home-made LA-2a VU meter thread.
