I have been having alot of trouble with CPU errors during playback in pro-tools so I want to ask what the hardware buffer in pro-tools should be set to for recording and for playback. |

How can one piece of software have sooo many issues?
The recommended buffer setting is 512, I think.
Does it pop-up a specific error code?
I'm not really hip to the inner workings of Macs, aside from recording on PT6 TDM, but do you have a power saver running? |

the error code is 6086, but the support on the digi site doesn't help. No power saver. I also have a topic labelled CPU Error related to this issue. |

Yes, I've seen it.
Have you done anything as far as error supression is concerned? |

Something is broken. This is not normal behavior for any of your hardware or software.
Have you contacted apple? |

Good times! I've contacted apple, they are sending out the start-up disks i didn't get when I bought the machine. I guess theres some sort of tester in those disks. Could it be possible that it could be the firewire from the mac to the mbox, the problem is always "hardware buffer" related? |
