Are these mics on ebay the real deal?

They all seem to be $200/300 and even more cheaper than many shops?

I've bought several mics from ebay stores that were substantially less than from a large retailer. All of them have been legitimate, new product with warranty cards, etc......If they're working out of their house and have no overhead costs of rent of commercial space, etc.....they can sell for less. That's the beauty of online commerce.

Ebay is great but that is a good point about counter fit microphones sounds like your playing with fire. I buy a majority of my mics and audio gear from Washington Professional Systems in Wheaton, Maryland. I am in Southern Virginia and they ship all over the country. They are authorized re-sellers of about 250 manufacturers and always hook me up with a killer deal. There number is 301-942-6800 and talk to Jake at x132 I have always been happy with his pricing.

Agreed, I don't think these are a scam at all. It really comes down to small profit on large volume IMHO. Obviously check the sellers feedback and track record as there are definitely scams out there.

I bought a Blue Dragonfly off ebay, it was used...but everything went smoothly and the mic works GREAT.

Working at a music retail store I'd say someone selling new for less than MAP is scary. Avoid it just to save yourself from some possible headaches.

Ya,

Just be careful. Watch for good feedback ratings, but even then, still be careful. If it seems like it's too good to be true, it usually is.

I purchased a Rode NT1 from eBay to add to my collection, and things went smooth. I payed 80 bucks for it and couldn't believe it! Not a scratch, and capsule in mint shape. The mic sounds great!

Ask many questions to the seller and again, be careful.

Buyer Beware!!!
