Octal tube socket?
Hey there. I have a pair of Altec output trafos that I'm using in a project, and am wondering if I can find sockets for them.
does anyone know what kind of socket it is?
It's for the 15095A can. 8 pins in a circle around a plastic circle with a notch?
If not, mounting tips, anyone? =)
Regards

Yup. Atqandard octal. -Same as a relay socket. Try surplus stores or Farnell, Newark etc...

The old believe everything; the middle aged suspect everything, and the young know everything.
Yes, standard octal tube socket. 6L6, 6550, EL34, 6SN7 ect ect ect. Go to Triode Electronics or Angela Instruments or a million other places...........
or www dot tubesandmore dot com
old stock could be tarnished and need cleanup
decide ceramic or phenolic
watch hole size, the ceramics are usually bigger and can have strange mounting techniques, like compression washers, etc.
standard hole size is 1 and 1/8 inch.
ceramic can be 1 3/16 or 1 and 1/4 or even 1 5/16.
so if you have on ly 1 greenlee punch, get the same size socket
relay sockets are great for breadboarding.
i got 10 cinch octals coming in from evilbay
