I was reading the SP forum a few minutes ago and found Harvey asking SP to take a look at and comment on something, but I can't find the thread that he might ahve commented on. I thought it would be the "under the hood" ones, but its not... anyone help here? |

TubeDude,
Stephen didn't reply to my V67G/C1 "under the hood" post, but privately, he said he'd take a look at both mics for me. I sent him all the Studio Project mics, my Marshall V67Gs, and a couple of 603Ss for good measure. He's gonna do a thorough evaluation of all of them and send me his findings. |

The one I'm getting is used but claimed to be in excellent condition and was NOT bought at a Guitar Center,(if it even matters). How do you like the mic? What kinds of things have you used it on and liked the results? Any that you LOVED the results?
thanks for listening

I've only talked with Stephen briefly about his initial findings, but it seems that my original evaluations of the Marshall V67G and the C1 are pretty valid. The V67G is slightly flatter and the C1 has a slight dip in the mid-range.
The MC012 from the Sound Room is a very good mic and it's very consistent from unit to unit. Taylor provides a 2 year warranty and if you have problems, he stands behind them 100%. |
