Alright. This blows my mind that I haven't been able to figure this out yet. Scenario:
Your in Pro Tools 7. you have a multitrack 1 bar drum part that you want to have play say for 10 more bars. you are in grid mode and have cut the 1 bar drum part exactly to one bar. now you would think you can do a "command D" and it would just start placing each bar perfectly after the next but no! It starts to get off beat by a little and off the grid WTF! I know i can do a right click and loop it but i just want a fast way to "loop" a little section without copy and paste or option drag. (i am on mac) AM I OUT OF MY MIND!? this should be simple! |

It could be that the loop does not exactly match the set tempo, or that the section duplicated is either too long or too short. |

Check to see what your Snap settings are at. Does the loop time signature match your current time signature? I know. Stupid questions but I have to assume the simplest things just to rule them out. |
