There's too much verb on the vox at the beginning.
The lead vox have too much distortion.
The music bed sounds decent, albeit repetitive.
The vox with the distortion kills me - and I like dirty, distorted stuff.
I'll give it a 5 out of 10, based on the distortion...
(Starting today I'm gonna rank mixes 1-10, just so's y'all know - Like any of you care anyway, right? Yeah, I know you do. Admit it.)
As I wrote this, I've let your Myspace player continue playing your stuff.
I give the next two songs a 6 and 7. |

I don't like the name. It's so dead.
Bent covered the problems with the reverb and the distortion.
The sung vocals sound autotuned to death. The drums sound good -- are they real?
The piano sounds good. Keyboard, definitely, but they're fine in the mix. Getting to the end of the song... the faster keyboard sounds too... fake? It's fine at slower tempos but it sounds terribly automated at the ten.
Violins seem out of place at first but by the end they do contribute to the mix.
Yeah. Good work otherwise. |

A "heavenly" sort of sounding track in my opinion. Not what I generally listen to though. I agree about the vox and distortion. They sound a bit like a bad Hard-Fi recording.
Someone mentioned the drums sounding good. I agree there, I suspect they are programmed though and not real.
A bit depressing for me personally but a good effort production wise. |

I hate to be a bad apple but the kick and snare really sound like a cheap keyboard or drum machine. Casio style 1986. I liked that left of heaven song, very mysterious. |

Thanks for all your input. The drums are not real. The song is really distorted, but thats what I was going for. Everything is DAW. No room or time for real instruments. SAMPLES SAMPLE SAMPLES At least I'm making something. LATE! thanks again. |
