Hi Phil,
Old but nice building. It looks you will have nice place to work.
Are those blocks made of ytong/styro/foam - concrete? I doubt this will give you significant level of attenuation. How and why you decided to use it?
Best regards |

Best regards | Hello Groff !
i can understand why you ask this question.
In fact the cinder blocks (i think its their name in english, they are made out of concrete) are only here to support the upper floor. There will be editing rooms above the control room, not above the tracking room whose ceiling goes till the top of the building. The walls of the building are 50 cm thick ! we believe that it is enough attenuation added with the box in the box construction of the CR and TR
Regards

I hope it will. The cinder and concrete blocks are somewhat different, but the density and its mass is what counts. If the combs of the blocks are filled with concrete or sand during build, then even better.
A few shoots from the opposite site of the room would also help. I suppose there are no shared walls (i.e. supporting side walls) between CR and TR.
Good luck with the project. |
