Anyone know of any injuries caused by those things?

I had a buddy who lost an eye when the fader cap popped off one of those things as the faders were "homing". Now he can't watch all of the VU meters on his SSL at the same time. It's a tradgedy that could easily be avoided had he kept some SuperGlue in his maintenance kit.
