Hey everybody I really need some advice on my song. I mixed it and Im not sure if I can do any better. Would a good mastering job bring this track to life a bit more? It is the highest quality mp3 I could post. I know listening to a mp3 is not the greatest but please take a listen. If you have some good head phones put them on. If you are in front of some monitors even better. Please let me know. Thanks...

No chance I'm connecting my HD600's to Myface.
Your song sounds cool, I gotta say that pump would be so hot by now. Like 400 shots.
You flow solidly, with clear diction and tight cadence.
Upload a wav to megaupload or something then I will listen on some spiffy headphones.
Either way though, a good mastering eng can do some nice voodoo and make sonic gold where you thought there was no gold.
I'd say talk to a few different houses of mastering at least for a tidy redbook cd you can then copy and distribute.
Good luck and have good times. |

I will definitely upload a wav. Judging by what your heard ( if you can judge off the mp3 at all) do you think a good mastering will clear it up a bit? |

No idea.
I have no relevant experience.
but I will say this, there is a reason all top-notch stuff gets mastered before release. Because it's a good thing.
Some tight EQ work to make things fit nicely and then a solid platform to make copies from, IE a master.
Worth it in my book.
Depends on who is doing what for how much. You gotta shop around to find someone you trust and can afford. |

hey, enjoyed your music. great mix on everything except the vocals. thought they were just a little bit buried in the music. could stand to be a little more out front. just my opinion for whatever its worth. good stuff; keep it up! |

When you're obviously referring to yourself, saying "those guys" and "they" makes you look like a spammer - or at the very least, deceptive. |
