Can anyone suggest a good helpful book that can help me improve my mixing? I use Cubase 4 and an Alesis 16 Firewire. One that is cubase specific may be helpful, but I'm more interested in something that can better my mixes all around.
Thanks

The Mixing Engineer's Handbook, by Bobby Owsinski and Mastering Audio - The Art And The Science, by Bob Katz.
More info than you can shake a stick at. |

I have read most of this book and would say you need to buy it. It takes a very different look on mixing but it will help you so much!!!!

Are you talking about the Mixing Handbook, or Mastering Audio? I have Mastering Audio and agree, it's a fantastic book. But I'd like to get a better insight on how to achieve different sounds from more the mixing side!
I've read hit/or/miss reviews on the Mixing Handbook. Some people liked it, others didn't.
