Hey Everyone.....
At the urging of a few, I added a little more ear candy to the tune "Holdin' On"...
Still a "Full Artist" version, however I do have a "pitch" version where I "lose" the band at the beginning & get to the chorus/hook 12 seconds quicker....
The tune changes a tad as it goes from organic Americana to Country/Pop..............Anyways...any thoughts ???

“HOLDIN’ ON”
It’s early in the morning
Another day, another restless night
I sip my cup of coffee
It’s okay, it’s gonna be alright
Sometimes times can get hard
Little things will drive you up a wall
I’m walking on a tightrope
And it’s a long, long way to fall
It’s spiritual suicide
For you to worry through the night
(CHORUS):
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here on a wing and a prayer
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems nobody cares
I really need to remember
Where I’m from and how far I’ve come
I fought my share of battles
Some I’ve lost, some I’ve won
This world can be so cold
A bitter pill you try to swallow whole
I act like it doesn’t affect me
But you know, sometimes it slows my roll
Some things will never change
I’ll just ride this tidal wave
(CHORUS):
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here on a wing and a prayer
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems nobody cares
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here at the foot of the cross
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems all hope is lost
(Musical Bridge)
(CHORUS):
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here on a wing and a prayer
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems nobody cares
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” forever
Hangin’ here at the foot of the cross
I keep “HOLDIN’ ON” whenever
It seems all hope is lost
I keep "HOLDIN' ON" forever
I keep "HOLDIN' ON" forever
I keep "HOLDIN' ON" forever
I keep "HOLDIN' ON' whenever.....

You indicated you cut your vocals on a U87 at a local studio. Where & how else do you go about your recording process? What else do you cut at that studio? Is the rest done at your home? Tell us more. We need to know more. People just have to know that it's your talent & not your equipment. Well, OK the microphone.
You are bitchin' man! I mean, you're good. I didn't hear any complaints.

REMY...
Thanks for the great words...I came to a point in my life where for me I was wasting way too much time trying to do it all by myself.....My gifts are NOT in recording....I had all home demo sounding stuff....After many average recordings I realized for me as an Artist I was killing myself....
So I only do scratches at home ....I put zero pressure on myself to keep up with those who are light years ahead of me in recording........
When I write a tune I want to cut, I hire the best session players I can afford...
Though I work with a four different producers they are not calling the shots .....I DO.....That said, I only insist on what "has" to be in the song and let them use their skills....I mean if I am paying somebody I need to let them work, right ?????? Most of these songs were done in three different studios....And On most of these songs I had 3 different producers working on it at various stages............
This is the formula that works for me....
Have a good one
