I've heard this particular sound in several songs over time, and i have evolved some ideas for it. But i havn't managed to mimic the sound in any of my plugs,
so i wonder now:

Does this sound have a name?
If not, wich plug is it / How do i create it?

Stutter edit? Your particular example could probably be simulated using the LFO rate and resonance on a synth, but I think what you are after is more along these lines: http://remixmag.com/tech_features/remix_fractal_tendencies/

Lots of ways to do it. Be careful not to overuse it. Smile

yeah def. some sort of midi synth...but there is also a Phaser on top of that yet
