This will be a multipart lesson series for major learning and enjoyment. Feel free to chime in with ideas and concepts. I have not had the bandwidth to d load all the tracks and critique them yet, but I will!! None will be left out!
Either I will do them all....(critique) or others will do it as well. I will try to d load as many as posted..and please give 10-18 days for me to get around to seriously listening.
Lessons series one: will involve equalization, how it works, what good (and bad) it can introduce, how to effectively use eq for dynamic situations and how to incorporate for tracking, and post eq in your system. Also how to eq properly your post monitors to translate without ruining dynamic integrety...basically by using acoustic treatments (with plenty of links to do this yourself) to achieve the proper results.
Remember...EQ will be lesson one of a large and on-going series. This series will take approx. 3 years to complete..but hey..Rome was not built in a day..and the 27 years of Knowledge I have aquired will....well let's see...take more than 60 years to explain..so I will get the high points and the basics down...hopefully the end result will be one of the improvements of this art (as we know it) Making consumer audio and pro audio a singular term (pipe dream LOL)....Hell folks...it worked for me...and others I have intimate contact with those who knows that it WORKS..Rick Hammang...chime in here if you would like>??
This will be fun and informative..but bear with me...I still put in 80 Hrs. /week in this biz..besides RO.. So Welcome! |

I look forward to the lessons. This is a great opportunity for us songmakers to improve our craft so that we can present our material in its best light (or should I say sound?).
