Hey guys, I'm sntrix the new guy around here. Been trying to spread my music around a bit to actually get some true comments and suggestions for my songs. Was told that this is the place to do it.
I've been into music since I was about 8 years old....started playing keys at that time. Been in and out of Rock bands for as long as I know. But the lost of my guitar kinda changed my talents back to the boards.
After a while I started into new age, but something wasn't working for me their ... so now I have been working with different Genres of techno for the past year. I have now got 5 songs ,although not mastered or complete (So much more I could put to them, rearrange and such), up on mp3.com. I have had plenty of good comments from friends....but heh, are they going to tell me if they are awful songs???
Anyways....
http://www.mp3.com/sn_trix
Latest to earliest
1. *Still Breathing - Slow D&B
2. *Trance Journey - Progressive Trance
3. **Afraid of the Dark? - Dark Electro
4. **Feel Me Want Me - Electro
5. ^I Need You - Dance
^ Composed with Fruity Loops Pro
** Composed with Fruity Loops Pro & Yamaha EX5
* Composed with Fruity Loops Pro 3.3
Enjoy and let me know what you think.
sntrix@hotmail.com

Great stuff man!
I'm no expert in any of the electronica genre's, but my toes are tappin right now! The only possible suggestion I would make is not to keep all the percussive elements panned straight up and down. Move the hi hat to one side and the shaker to the other, that kind of stuff. It seems like new elements keep coming into the mix at exactly the right time, and you really have a grip on developing your own "sound". Next question is simply "where do you want to go with it?" What's your ideal situation?
Keep up the good work! |
