I'll comment on this one. Mainly because its about 80% there.
Good stuff: Song is great, lyrics are good, production is right on. Vocal quality is almost there.
Room for improvement:
I would take a run to get your lungs up as some of the vocals are a bit shaky on the trail end of the phrases.
The voice is not EQd correctly. You need to roll off the low end, i.e. under 300Hz and maybe push it up a tad above 5000KHz. Next run up the volume a tad as your voice sits a little low in the mix. Slightly compress the vocal too and I think the voice would pop out of the mix better.
Mix everything down to stereo, run the results through a multiband compressor and you should be there.
There you go. I think your efforts are very good on this one. |

Thanks MistaG! That's exactly the kind of feed back I needed. I agree totally with every comment, and I appreciate your suggestions to help improve the vocal. I will give the eq a shot as you suggested. I tried eq'ing but it didn't sound too good so I left it flat. I will try again with your suggested settings. I have noticed the vocal sits a little low in the mix in spots. This I will correct too. I also have to do a little pitch correction too. Like you said, close but needs a little more TLC, my feeleings exactly! I'm syced you put it at 80%! Thanks.
