Don't know how many of you have the spectrasonics intruments Stylus, Atmosphere, and Trilogy, but they have a new module STYLUS rmx with S.A.G.E technology. http://www.spectrasonics.net/news/StylusRMXpreview.html
I purchased all three original intruments a while back under the impression they were going to be expandable, more libraries added. This does not seem to be the case as there is no mention of an upgrade from the original ones.
I hope this is not the case though
All in all, I'm very happy with all three, especially Trilogy, the total bass module.
Anyone using these?
:p: |

FWIW,
I'm using Stylus on my Ti PB: has helped out with creating loops/sound design in a pinch, but I know the sounds'll be dated in a matter of time - already hearing the telltale grooves often in commercials, etc., and so long as it helps to pay the bills is all I can ask...
Actually what I'd really like to ask for is a USB/MIDI controller that isn't a shitty piece of plastic that'll end up in a landfill in a matter of months. Guess I might be wishing on a star, or for pigs to fly on that one... :p |

Got stylus also.
As i don't use loops, I only use the single hits. There are plenty of those. And the interface gives a lot of flexibilty for tweaking the hits.
I'm interested in how the library expands in the RMX version. If they include more hits, then I might bite.

For $99.xx for current users of Stylus, that' not to shabby. I got an e-mail from spectrasonics stating that would be the upgrade price and it's a few gigs of new samples! Will not roll out till september though and they will only be putting it on dvd. No cd's. |
