Those are very attractive. I really like the asthetics of them. The only question is, do they work? Fats |

I know this guy who can make those.
make the absorber/diffusor/trap then cover it with nice expensive black cloth and hang it on the wall.
A fine european aesthetic for todays discriminating home studio builder.
That will be $800 please..... |

You can check out the KKDK acoustic Modules at www.dpamicrophones.com
There you can see absorption coifficients and a lot more, also how to make an acoustic measurement of your room. |

Yikes, DPA in association with KKDK? Some of their mic's (Former B&K) are expensive, and sound good. Lot's of dynamic range. Any idea of the cost of these KKDK traps, or your friends version? Ethan's traps include diffusion & dispersion with their angled design.

--Rick | I am getting a price list just for kicks from KKDK via email. To be sure, the price is out of the realm of sanity.
"The Guy" who builds diffusors and such is me. The first quadradic diffusors I built were later covered with acoustically transparent speaker cloth and the exterior painted black. Nice, clean, sharp lines. (For the record, I dig the look of the diffusor wells over sleek and clean)
Thats what I was commenting on. The 'look' of those treatments. The midband absorbers are a perforated panel and the diffusors look like quadratics, but the cloth over them makes them all look the same. Quite a cool idea. (surely reflected in their price!)
