Wes,
When you write "lined metal, insulated ducts", exactly what lining material should be used? Also, by "insulated" do you mean simply wrapping the outside of the ducts with fiberglass insulation?

Scott,
the ducts i have seen used a "703" like type of rigid isulation. although the density is less, probably a 701 the fiberglass is wrapped in a linen type fabric and lines the inside of the duct. you can also insulate the exterior of the duct, but that would be more for isolation than noise.
