Logic Pro on a G5. No problems whatsoever.
Also, a UAD-1. |

Yep—I'm one of the "others" who use Digital Performer 4 on a Mac PowerBook.
Best,

Just bought Cubase for PC, S**t canned an older version of Sonar, didn't play well with others, mainly network software. Glad to see so many guys building their own high end PC's.

I do my tracking and initial edititng & cleanup with Vegas. Everthing is then brought into Adobe Audition for mixing. |

There are too many left off that list. So much software, so much choice.
I use Sonar 3 for recording/mixing, Wavelabs for rough mastering. I wouldn't have it any other way. |

Lot's of ProTools haters out there. But if your only gonna learn one program it's gotta be Pro Tools cause thats what the vast majority of studios are using. |
I agree if you plan to work for others in their studios but I believe you have to find the program that fits what you do and personally I don't find Pro Tools to always be the right fit. I am running Sonar 3.1.1 PE and am converting Pro Tools files all the time to my format. The hardware is only as good as the person behind the board so if anyone thinks that the equipment is actually making music, mixes, etc... End Game.
That's my 2 cents. |

Logic 5.3 on a PC ... though i'm not happy with the audio editing and the way regions handle on mouse clicks -- real pain while over-dubbing.
like the editing in PT. |
