I really want someone who has experience with high end gear to
give me their opinion on this pre. I'd like to know if it sounds 3 dimentional or if it sounds flat like budget pres.
it looks like it might be the first mid level pre thats worth its price tag.
thanks, |

The Brick is one of the best deals going for a pro piece and a budget price. No, it is not even close to being the ViPre, but it is a very good sounding box. 3D can not come from a mic pre alone. And if you don't have decent monitoring, you won't ever hear 3D. |

I haven't had the chance to check it out yet ... but I want to. I will contact GT and ask for a review unit ...
The Brick has the kind of construction and design approach that produces that 3 d effect we are all talking about lately .. but I cannot speak yet from any first hand experience. That being said, there are a lot of pres that I would not bother listening to simply based on the design and construction ... but the Brick is not one of them... It certainly bears listening to. |
