Now that I have your attention.
I noticed that you use synthedit. I have been looking for a plugin that doesn't appear to be in existence. Essentially what I'm looking for is a feedback generator. Something that I can apply while I'm tracking or after the fact even.
My idea is that the signal goes to a gate and a simple notch filter or series of notch filters so that I can choose not only what level the feedback starts to build but at what frequency or frequencies as well. The concept being that you could not only dial in specific feedback but also dial in feedback in harmonies. For example feedback that builds based on a perfect fourth then wavers according to however you play it, say using the tremolo arm on your guitar.
Do you think this is within your capability? I've been trying to learn synthedit but nothing I produce is recognized by Cubase. I don't know why. Software in that degree is not my forte'.
Just a thought. If anyone has any info on a plugin that will do this already that would be great. I've done a google search with dissappointing results. |

Hi
I also use Cubase SX 3 but have no problem with using my plugs in it.
Putting a couple of notch filters, with controller knob to them, in serie, would not be any major design problem, to solve.
Can you specify how you want them connected, a little more in detail, would be fine.
If you got SE, perhaps you could make a draft project file (.se1) and I can compile/complete it for you. |

Well, as I mentioned, I'm not fully aware of the way SynthEdit works. I tried following a tutorial. Not sure if I did it right. At any rate I'll see if I can slap something together to give you an Idea of what I'm going for. It'll have to wait till I get home from work though. Is a signal flow diagram ok? |

Yeah, it is a good editor, but it has a lot of trying out before you get the hang of the workflow. And then it takes even more time to get something
good made. Then you discover the limitations and you start looking on the net for more add ons etc. Took me approx 2 years before I started making something useful with it. Even though I did not use it especially much during the first year. Now I have made approx 130 project where
approx 40 of them has led to something nice. And those are the 40 latest ones.
Signal diagram or perhaps a .se1 file with some rudimentary design idea?
Just can include some more descriptions of how you will use it and what features it should have, also. |
