rate in live music need help agian:(

it seems i like i sound on lower rates.....less then 44000 but that doesnt matter...what am asking is can i change rates in live music ...i can change in sound forge while recording but can do it live when i do the show so i sound like i sound under the rate i use in sound forge when recording.....?

Your English is rather poor and it's very difficult to interpret your question. There is no reason to change your sample rate during a recording! You may like the bandwidth limitations of the frequency response at 22,050 whose frequency response cuts off at 10kHz. I would recommend recording at full sample and bit rate, then you can use equalization in your mix, to roll off the high frequency response so that it resembles the response at 22,050. You can only cut CDs at 44.1kHz 16-bit. Why do you want to make lower quality recordings anyhow???

Like remyrad, I don't really understand the question, but potentally I'm guessing what you are doing is similar to say playing a 45rpm record at 33rpm. - if that is the case then shifting the sample only really tricks the software for a bit (until the soundcard realises what's goin on.) - somewhat unreliable.

I'd suggest finding a good pitch shifter plugin
