Hi,
I'm searching for a nice pitch plugin. I work in a dubbing studio and now we're dubbing cartoon movies.
I work in Protools HD platform and I'd like to find a nice pitch plugin for voice. I've already listened to the voice recording of "Woody Woodpecker" and I really liked the pitch effect of that voice.
So, which are your favourite pitch plugins for voice? (not in the musical way). Could someone recommends me a good plugin (TDM or RTAS)? |

For straight spoken word, the included "FREE" Digirack pitch plugin is the best. But it must be dialog recorded in a studio booth. (Clean)
Pitch n Time works best for film production dialog, since it has noise behind it.
I also own SoundToys Speed, Serato Pitch n Time, and Waves SoundShifter.
They all have their own strenghts. |

The voice of the old Woody Woodpecker was walter Lance's wife. (If memory serves) I don't think they did any pitch shifting on her. I'll second the serato pitch n' time, but have also had good luck with the digi rack pitch plug as well. |

Oh, I think that Woody Woodpecker has got a lot of different voices across the years... (Mel Blanc, Grace Stafford, Ben Hardaway...) But I forgot to say that I was looking for the sound of the latest Woody Woodpecker Edition (1999-2002) in which the Woodpecker's voice was provided by voice actor Billy West that also put his voice in:
Ren and Stimpy on Ren and Stimpy (Ren and stimpy are the title characters of two cartoon tv series created by canadian animator john kricfa...)
Philip J. Fry, Professor Hubert Farnsworth, Doctor Zoidberg, Captain Zapp Brannigan and President Richard Nixon's head on Futurama.
Doug Funnie on Doug
Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in the movie Space Jam.
BuzzBee, the honey nut bee in TV commercials for Honey Nut Cheerios
Voice of alien on the Pentium 4 commercial.
And many other productions...
Well, I tried the Serato Pitch'n Time and it's a really nice Ptich Plugin. I would like to thank you all for recommend this plugin. |
