Nice thread Smile

I found recording.org while googling for advice on DIY home studio isolation. I study music technology in Trondheim, Norway, and have been more or less into audio for many years. This forum is everything I've always looked for, I can't understand why I haven't found you before! Is this a new site?

Anyway, thanks for the excellent forum! I'll be using it a lot from now on!

Greetings Bigtree from the soon to be thawed (I hope!) Alaska. I got to your great site from ( I hate to admit it ) Google searching for a review of some piece of gear. Keep up the good work!

Proud to say that this is my first post...
But I found you guys through a random guy I talked to at an internet cafe while playing Counter Strike. I had a lot of questions and he told me to come here.

A professional acquaintance included a link within an e-mail he sent me, right after returning home to convalescence from lifesaving brain surgery. And so here I am, still. I won't go away. You can't make me! Recording.org has helped fill the void left behind by brain surgery and from what I can tell, quite two bits have been left out?? Is this what they call data reduction??

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do.
I'm half crazy over a Neumann tube.......

Remy is nuts!!! (Regular slang - could be taken wrong)

Remy is the nuts!!! (Poker slang - It's a good thing)

In honor of Remy and her heritage, here is a Did You Know? I ran across researching something else.

Did you know we use waaaaaaaay more Yiddish words than you would realize?

Hmmm. My first wife was a "JAP". That post brought back lots of memories. It also explained some of the words I used to hear that I didn't understand (and her family wouldn't explain!).
So, now I know that the reason my MCI 400 series console sounded like DREK was because the DYBBUK of the SCHMUCK who previously owned it
had permeated it. This resulted in all sorts of GLITCHES in the desk, that in turn, caused my client, a MACHER of a producer, to KVETCH like a MESHUGGENER. I would then, in response to his NOODGES, SCHLEP all of my test gear out, call the MAVENS at MCI, and attempt to SCHMOOZE with the tech while he gave me the SPIEL about their new 500 series, which I figured was just more SCHLOCK, anyway. Meanwhile, my client, the NUDNIK was such a PUTZ, all I wanted to do was to POTCH the MAMZER in the SCHNOZ... Laughing
