Bri,
Only ~Sebatron~ can say, but my best guess is that he was probably testing the durability of the unit. Now, we know that valve gear would survive the EMP from the blast whereas transistors would most likely blow, but we couldn't be sure untill the VMP test. |

Guys, guys, guys,
Its still about the SOUND.
What good is blowing Sh*t up if it doesn't sound good. Did you ever watch a fireworks display on TV???? Didn't quite work did it? Why? - the broadcaster saved a few bucks and went with an inexpensive pre.
That same show on TV with the proper settings on a VMP-4000 would have made you OOh and Aah!
The same applies to atomic bombs. What good is proving world domination if you can't sound good doing it? (W take notice)

At the big bang? Ok, so it wasn't really a bomb (or was it? Hmmm) and "Where" didn't even exist at that time, but there were lots of atomic explosions.

The guy standing in that photo is 'Charles'.
He originally founded the Sebatron company but actually practised
'Nuclear Physics' in his spare time. ....Like a hobby.
He's standing next to a STROBOSCOPEy 1000f that he built himself.
They were the first to use the newly developed Plutonium inverter
to trigger the staggered ignition video pattern generator system.
He used to take the Sebatron vmp-4000e around when he was doing his accordion gigs......
.....Didn't want to leave it in the car so he used it in the photo as a size comparison against his newly built STROBOSCOPEy 1000f...... |
