Opening an Audio Techinica AT2020

Some one mentioned something about opening up an at2020 and removing the foam from the element. How do you open it up and reseal it. Also, does any one have and pictures?

I don't have a 2020, but I do have several AT mics. Some of them open up by unscrewing the top half from the bottom half. I don't know about yours, but you want to look for a "seal"...a line that looks like a joining place for the 2 halves. Anyway, A-T has a real good tech support team up there in Ohio. Go on their website and ask them about this. Remember that this "mod" will void your warranty, which is probably moot in that A-T gear rarely breaks down in the first place.
