I am purchasing a couple pieces of gear but have a question about my selections.
I am looking to purchase a Pendulum OCL-2 and a Crane Song 'Ibis'
I will use them for tracking but... was wondering if these unit will be good for mastering as well.
I record acoustic/electric jazz and some chamber quartets, or other choices?
Any recommendations on doing double duty with this gear?
I am presently using MP-2NV, Dav 8, Grace, API and Precision 8 |

Double-duty posts?
Hahhaha
If they are exactly what you would hope for for tracking purposes, then you should purchase them on that strength alone. Anything else is a bonus.

these two pieces can act as double duty, if you really really like that sound and want it on everything. but I find that using different gear for each purpose is better. a lot of times colourful gear is just the ticket for tracking but not for mastering. |
