I'm as cool as a cucumber.
Speaking of free plug-ins, has anybody mentioned the free ones offered by Elevayta yet?

His commercial plugs are a bargain, too. |

Why the dearth of Pro Tools RTAS plug-ins? All I saw linked to was the record simulation/analog noise adding plug that I already have. I also couldn't find the Nomad Free suite that was referred (but not linked) to. |

My B2X plug-ins suite for Ambisonic production have been updated with the new SonicBirth 1.3. So the B2X suite is now compatible with Cubase 4 and Nuendo 4 on Mac OS X, PPC and Intel.
Also updated are the DMS2Five plug-in to decode the Schoeps Double-MS array to 5.1 surround and the Zoom2Five plug-in to transcode the Zoom H2 quad surround to 5.1 surround.

Falling under the "fun" (rather than "musical") category, Berrtill is a great little deconstruction unit I found. Try it on bass and drums to create everything from subtle to beyond-recognition distortion effects.
And as per a suggestion from IIRs, IIEQ Free looks like a decent EQ. Extremely cheap on CPU. |

I'm partial to these plugins, though I find they use a lot of cpu power. Maybe it's just me. Maybe it's the analogue emulation that just sucks up the juice.

Hey howdy folks, I can't believe that I've not found this place before; very nice it looks too.
Many good ones suggested here already, Massey are great (not free but cheap and unlimited evaluation) IMO and get a fair bit of use, a new one that looks interesting (and sounds GREAT so far -only two EQs that appear to be based on the same design) is Eric Sound plugins and is mac too as few free/cheap plugins seem to be. |
