Some of us are ADD OCD, lay awake at night, wondering if the cables in the road cases were coiled correctly by John New Bee, wondering if our trainees are well, making us look good, worrying about the little paint chip on a brand new speaker cab....We are just freakin' retarded alright? So, when you ask for help and you don't reply to tell us how it's going, how it was fixed...we get to feeling like a rebound date that gave you 2.5 minutes of pleasure and never heard from you again. So, show so love and closure.

I have to go buy 15 more bars of soap and wash my hands for 20 minutes.

Good morning, Sheet ! You cracked me up on that one, guy Laughing
I wonder the same thing sometimes (actually MANY times). You go back and forth and attempt to explain stuff, especially to someone who has been "bamboozled" by an MI sales person, and hope that they understand where the problem is. Too many people think that throwing a piece of gear at a problem and twisting the knobs will correct it...
Your comment about the "new help" reminds me of the time where I had just bought a bunch of TAD drivers from a production company at Disneyworld. Nice 2002s, you remember those? Well, I loaded them into these PAS top boxes I had just refurbished cosmetically and loaded with JBL cones. Tested them out, they were rockin' boxes, sweet and LOUD.
Looked great, too. Anyway, I took a couple of pairs out to do a large outdoor church bazzar, and took a new "helper" (a buddy's 18-year-old musician son) along. This kid thought that he knew everything, after all, he played through a 5150 (!). I told him to place the PAS's on top of the subs, and to place the 4 smaller Yamaha 12" boxes we had as pole-mounted "outriggers" in the field. I went to work on the FOH console and didn't pay close enough attention to what this kid was doing. Well, he got it backwards and put the new, bigger/heavier PAS's on the stands and the dinky Yammies on the subs! This was brought to my attention by a loud commotion in the field:a guy shouting and a loud bellowing ANIMAL! I looked up and, much to my horror, watched a f%^&$#g CAMEL galloping through the field, dragging its' owner behind it on a chain, kicking and screaming! And as they passed each of those top-heavy pole-mounted PAS's, they knocked them to the ground! I was in shock. Good thing the boxes held up OK, just some broken connectors and dirt and grass clumps to clean out. But I will NEVER do a gig where they offer camel rides again...
