I've got a quick question. How come when I post my music up on myspace it sounds different? ...is there any way I can keep it from losing quality and loudness cuz it losses that too...

myspace compresses the songs to make them sound like shit. no way around it. you could mix with that in mind, but thats about it.

i think every one knows that myspace songs sound pretty poor, so dont feel to bad.

really didnt know that thankz but how come like some peoples sound good or even artists sound good i mean i know i aint no pro but my songs sound good better then most that are barely starting and yet this dude i know sounds better on myspace but when u listen to it not on myspace it doesnt sound good....

Some people optimize for MySpace compression.

Plus, if you have a better mix to begin with, when it's degraded, it will be better than one that sucked to begin with.

yea but see the thing is that we do mixtape mixing so its hard to like get the rite sound...ya know cuz i cant turn things down when there to loud with out turning all the other instrumentals ya know...

I haven't had any problems with mixes translating into MySpace. I've done many mixes for folks on their MySpace pages and I've heard little to no change - at least no more than what would be heard from compressing to a 128kbps MP3.
