I disabled the screen saver and any other applications that were running in the tray in the lower right hand corner of the screen, but it's still out of sync. I am connected to the internet through a cable modem but I really don't want to turn that off unless I have to.
My computer is running at 2.40 Ghz with 2.00 GB of Ram.
I did update the drivers for the Sound Blaster. It now says SB Live! 24-bit, rather than Sound Blaster Audity. |

What I meant was, did you update Cakewalk? Not sure that you can anymore since it has been discontinued but you can try. |

Yes, set it to be the default for recording.
Like I said, these are things that need to be done to better benefit your ability to record.
Well, I never really said that...but it's in there somewhere;) |

I'll give it a try. Also, just noticed there is an option that says:
Always use MME interface, even when WDM drivers are available.
It's not enabled, but should it be (I have no idea what it means)? |

Guess what, I downloaded the Sonar 7 trial and I'm still having the same problem. I can't believe this is happening on a computer that I built brand new last summer. On my old Dell Dimension 8100 from 2001 I never had any of these problems. |

In S7 see if it has re-wire and attempt to use that with your fruity loops app.
Sometimes you have to know when your beating your head against a rock...this could be one of them |
