Before you yell at me for not using the search...I have searched, but my question if different. I swear!!!
I've been using a Crown DC-300 but it recently took a dive. I prefer NOT to purchase used as this is how I bought the DC-300.
All of the threads here suggest used amps. So, anyone have any NEW amp they can suggest to power these babies? In addition, I really don't want to spend a ton of cheddar...business has been really slow! I've already been warned against Alesis, as I had figured. So, any other suggestions would help a ton!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

Did you look at the Crowns in the same price range. I don't know that they're any better at that price but....

You didn't mention budget. |

Rotel !!
I still have some Rotel RB-870's in service
good amps
they have a bridge adapter build in
so they can be 60W per side
or used as 100W bricks ... that's why I have two
The DC-300 is a very nice amp but as it is also very old
it would need more than a fix to get it back into reliable service
there are people oput there that could with love and care restore this to former glory
it wouldn't be economical but lovers of old BiPolar amps would wouldn't hesitate
the Rotel above and many rotels are MosFET |
