Hey folks,
Sorry if this is not the right forum for this. I didn't quite know where to put it.
Our church will be looking at moving into recording our services within the next year. We are looking at possibly using a recorder such as the Alesis HD24 for recording each channel on a separate track.
Obviously, after recording some post processing will be required to produce a reasonably good mix for distribution.
I'd like to do some practicing of the the post processing process. We would eventually purchase a multitrack interface (such as Cubase etc) but for now I thought I would download KRISTAL (it's free) for practice. However, what I am missing is the tracks. I remember reading somewhere once where someone put out a little mixing challenge to see who would come up with the best mix. For some reason, I can't find this on the net.
Do any of you know where I might be able to download some sample tracks for mixing. I could then post my result to the Mix Critique forum for comments. Hopefully that will give me a bit more knowledge when we actually purchase our software and try and do the recordings.
Also, when we do purchase the software, which would you recommend? |

I would look at Reaper if you want freebie software. |
