Norman "Hurricane" Smith passed onto the great recording studio in the sky on March 3rd. He was the EMI engineer for the Beatles until 1965; his last album with the Fab Four was Rubber Soul. In 1967 he worked with an up-and-coming new band called Pink Floyd and did three albums with them. He also had a few hits of his own in the early '70's.
He will be missed. |
