Hey,

I really liked that song. Its interesting and catchy and the playing is great. The lead vocal might be a little too hot, but maybe thats just me. Maybe a little compression might tame it down in the peaky places. The overall sound is raw in a Clash sort of way, kind of garage band style, which i dig.

Good job!

Just to qualify who you're getting feedback from, I'm just starting out in my sound engineering career. Not by any means an expert.

But...I thought the song sounded pretty good. I actually enjoyed for its lack of intense compression that you normally find on rock songs. I think there's a little something to what ByraFerk said about the vocals. I would have also like to hear some of the lead guitar parts emphasized a bit more. Lastly, the bass guitar was a little over-bearing and maybe a bit boomy.

I dig that sound, though man. I don't know how to describe it, really. Just generally not over-tweaked maybe. You can hear the qualities of the individual instruments recorded. Overall I think it's great. I'd be happy to have something like that under my belt.

I like this track, quite funky sounding.

I agree the vocals are a tad too high, other than that everything else sounds good.

Nice work;)

Man, I'm liking this song more and more. You mind sharing some of the details of how it was tracked, etc.? I'm also curious what kind of mic you used for the vocals.

Ok I'll leave it for a bit and try to tweak up the vox, maybe pull back on the bass a bit too.

Ok tightened up the bass, sat the vox in the mix a bit and made the guitars heavier on the chorus, let me know what you think

Dude, you did your thing, fa real! This song rocks! Should sell like frickin hotcakes!

Vocals are not only less overbearing, but they're right in the middle of the stereo image now, where as they used to be more from the left. The guitar sounds just right and loud in the right places. You're a badass.

If I had to make one more little ever-so-humble suggestion, or question if you will. Do you think the backup vocals on the chorus need to be quite so prominent? They're cool and well done and everything, but you've got a good singer who can carry the load, if you know what I mean. I'm just saying, I notice the backup vocals pretty much every time and I don't know if that's your intention.

But again, you're a badass!

Did a re-mix, more guitar separation and a little less vox and less reverb on the back-ups. Is the main vox a little low now? Seems to be really speaker dependent. Please take another listen

Ok finding my mixes all over the place, thinking might have been the speaker position so this mix is different and would love some more ears on it.

- took back bu vox
- added more omph to the snare reduced level on OH's
- Vox up a bit
- learned a little more about mastering compression
- less automation
- more separation on the guitars

Please tell me if it's too harsh, bassy etc as I'm learning these speakers all over again, I think the mix is getting better, do you?

Bass is too boomy, listened on HS80M. Other than sounds cool. My wife liked it!

Ok took out some 200hz on the bass and put some more backup vox in. I've never heard of a woman liking our music before! That's kinda cool!
