yes i have a Presonus Firestudio and i have a SennHeiser ew100 wireless mic...and well every time i turn the wireless mic off, and the reciever is still on.....its starts peaking like crazy and almost sounds like a gun going off..and i notice it goes off when i turn my presonus Firestudio off. Why is it causing interference like that? just wondering... |

It's desperately trying to find something to lock on to, and the radiated emission from the FireWire packets will do nicely. Needless to say, they don't sound very nice.
Does the receiver have a squelch control? If so, adjust it so that it responds to the wireless mic when that is in operation and keeps the receiver quiescent when it's not. |

The ew100 has three squelch settings - low, med,hi. The default is low. Try it on med first and if that doesn't work, switch to hi. |
