Does anyone know how to export a rpoject from Pro Tools to Cubase or any other DAW? Any input would be very appreciated.

Thanks,
Zoro.

Not being intelligent enough to answer you properly regarding this question, my first thought would be, there isn't any conversion program designed to accomplish this.

Knowing that. I would think to take my ProTools sessions and mute all channels. Now you start with Channel 1 and unmute that. Export/bounce each channel individually with all of your preprogrammed inserts, plug-ins, effects, etc.. Then also bounce that channel dry. Keep everything. Reassembling it as needed.

Too much in the lots of work to do pile for me.

I'm not sure if cubase has this, but in a lot of DAW software you can export / import as a .omf (I know protools and nuendo have this feature)

Yet sure, you get the tracks but you don't get the plug-ins nor manipulations since those can't be translated on average.

So if you want everything you accomplished in ProTools, it's a long laborious process of exportation, exploitation, consternation, constipation, subordination reservations.

Or just don't use ProTools to begin with Wink.

OMF does work in Cubase. How well it works depends on the project. If you are using all sorts of plug ins, you probably won't get the results you want.

Another option would be to export the audio tracks. Start each at zero. then they can be imported into Cubase and the mixing can begin.

I am only triyng to export the audio files. No Plugins or anything else are needed just the raw files. I know that Cubase 4 does OMF but I do not know how to use it. There are different takes in a single channel and I just wanted to know how to take them out without going to the root folder, take all of the audio files and then align them back in the new DAW.

You should be able to time stamp your files in the regions menu. You right click on the region name, then click time stamp.

I've never tried this, but it should work?

Listen to Ms. Remy.
She's right on it.
It's the only way to be sure you'll get what you need.
It won't really take that long either.
This is exactly what I would do. (Thanks Remy!)
You can spend HOURS messing with "importing" functions...
Just git'er done!
