u guys are hilarious,
I will tell you what, I will be the deciding factor with my ears that pretty much roll off at -6db/octave range above 1 khz due to the loud music I exposed myself to during my younger years, lol. |

"Above 1KHz" LOL. I thought I was bad cause I seem to be gone around the 16-18K range (poor for an 18yo surely).
OK, maybe I will notice.
I should throw in a sample of my own:
A BrandX Xm5 run 70' across a hum-infested snake into a Phonic pre, I'll point it at a monitor blasting out something loud, set the gain to clip and then record it via some onboard audio (using a 4m unbalanced RCA lead). Then put it into MP3 and play it back via a phone line to you. |

Well, the session last night went longer than expected and therefore I was unable to record the examples I was going to do for you guys.
The earliest I might be able to do it is Monday, I'll let ya know.
I'll probably use this song, posted at Soundclick in case your interested in seeing where we are with it at the moment:
Chapter One
We're going back into the vault and redoing some of our songs from the '90s.
The drums are scratch (in a week or two Rob from Weisenheimer is comin' by to redo them for a more heavy metal feel), as are the vox (maybe... Perhaps we'll just layer more on these). |
