Song is called May, one of twelve songs on a concept album called "Seasons" coming soon.
Anyway, this is a pretty intricate song for a 16 year old to write, so I'm still quite shocked. There's a pretty sweet 'face melting' solo at the end of the song.
Give it a listen, critique it - mix and song!

Not bad.
The guitars are tad thin sounding, especially the solo bits - I'd crank them up and add some low-mids.
It sounds flat overall. One mic on the guitars?
Very good for a 16yo!
Chuck S. would be proud of those vox.
I give it a seven. |

Yeah just a 57 coming in on the left of the speaker to the cone, pretty flat frequencies coming in. then i took a parametric and took out some offending frequencies.
Also last minute i added a compressor to the rhythm guitars. But overall it's metal it's supposed to be flat and loud ha
Anyway the solos are a bitch only in the fact that it's coming from amp modelled line 6 sounds. Also the amp used wasn't that amazing, the Peavey Joe Satriani model's stock tubes blow in my opinion! |

Next time, throw up a room mic.
You'll be glad you did.
Anyway, as I said - not bad.
Believe me, it's better than a few hundred hours of old crap I've got laying around here (and some new stuff, for that matter)!

I've heard plenty worse from older players with better gear. It's the first metal project I've heard lately that hasn't tried to blow my monitors. Thank you for that. |

haha thanks, this album of his is VERY musical. he wrote it all out with a notation program (and found that he should see if he can actually PLAY what he writes before he writes it out haha!).
You guys will enjoy november alot, when it's done |
