If you can't use a hammer, why go buy an improved version. Once you get one that doesn't shatter when you use it, great. Only once you wear it out and have cash to spare that you go get another one.
Or once you've mastered the use of that hammer and you know that, based on your knowledge and experience, it does not meet the requirements of your task at hand...then go purchase a new one.
