I used to be "Electronic Gadget Johnny". I always had the skinny on any new electronic device. If there was something new on the market I had to have it.
I've gotten older and I guess I just don't keep up on the new trends. The last gaming console I purchased was a Playstation. Not PS2 or PS3, the old original playstation. No Xbox here. My computers are all P4s. I don't even own a personal cell phone. I've got one from my job and it's got as many features as a white sheet of paper. My television is a regular old picture tube and I'm still recording shows on video tape. No Tivo here.
I do have a PSP but it's one of the original ones. Not the new cool ones that are thin and differnet colors and all that jazz.
WOW! I didn't realize how behind the time I was.
Anyway, I've decided that I want to get some sort of portable music/video player like an Ipod. I was wondering what you guys are using if anything for this.
What I don't know is...are songs available through one system like Itunes only available for Ipods or can they be put on to any device, like a Zune or Iriver? There are several PodCasts that I'd like to get that are Itunes only and if I was to get a Zune would I be hosed?
One of the reasons I'm asking here is because being recording people, we like our audio uncompressed. Which player do you guys thing is best for uncompressed audio and what size would I need?
Are there any extras I should look for like video playback, interface etc? |
