Are you suggesting we should pray for divine guidance on the subject of bass trapping?
Within my belief system, yes, we should pray for divine guidance for everything. And yes, if one believes that God is omnipotent, then ALL things that occur are according to His plan and guidance, including the advice of other human beings. A tough concept for those in the western societies to wrap their brains around, particularly if they have been raised to be self-sufficient.
Sermon over. Thanks for the advice on bass trapping. I'll let eveyone know the results of testing as soon as my AT 3032 mic comes in. I'll post pictures then, too.

cos if I do exist I have a hell of a lot of explaining to do...
to whom?
the need to explain one's-self assumes there is an authority higher than the one who is doing the explaining.

I apologize for letting this tread go so off track. I will PM IIRs,( if I have your permission), to respond to his reply.

It ain't like I'm a Mod here, nor any more important (or less important) than anyone else here, but really guys. Let's not get off into religion or politics. No one wins and all it does is add to the signal to noise ratio of the forum when these types of pissin' matches start up.
Suffice it to say that we have brains and intelligence.
My comment, well taken out of context, was that using hard evidence/data and one's brain would certainly provide a much better attempt at a solution than just guessing based upon a hunch, conjecture or less than informed data... "a stab in the dark" were my exact words.
