Hey I'm looking into getting a mic pre / compressor (or channel strip) and I'm looking for some thoughts on the following gear.
I've been ogling at the UA 6176, Drawmer 1969, and I've been toying with the idea of getting a lunchbox with a 512c and a 525 comp/limiter. I'd like to be able to use the comp for tracking bass and vocals, but also for submixes (i.e. drums, vocals, or guitars). Any thoughts on any of this gear? I could pick up the 6176 or the drawmer used for about the same price as the api pre /comp/lunchbox new.
Thanks,
Conor |

I do with the API 512 and with lunchbox stuff in general. That'd be my choice...much more flexibility if you go that route. There are tons of great compressors out there for the 500 series box.
