Hi,

Good Day!

I bought a presonus Firepod 2 years ago and it's good and serve me good till now.

Now, i'm actually looking for a Studio Monitor Switcher for audition/comparison when Mixing.

Mean,i got 2 pair of studio monitor. And Firepod only provide an output (left and right) so i can't use both of my monitors. For this issue, i might need a switcher or something like A/b switcher to swap from Monitor 1 to Monitor 2 or Monitor 2 to monitor 1 again!

Regarding to the situation above,do you have any suggestion or products recommend to me?What i know, Presonus do produce the Switcher call CSR-1 and Monitor Station!

Are two of the above that i mention the Best choice in terms of Quality,Money and technically?S'ld the output TRS(balanced) to get better sound quality?

Thanks and Appreciate!!

The Central Station is fantastic...very transparent, surprisingly good conversion (if you need it) and a totally passive speaker path. I'm not a fan of the Big Knob...very colored, and not it a good way. Obviously there's some great high end options out there, but I get the feeling you're not in that market.

Shall we assume that you will have two pairs of active monitors, and not two pairs of passive monitors from an amp? I'm guessing yes, but just making sure all the facts are there. Wink

Try the SM Pro Audio M-Patch 2.

You should use balanced feeds (TRS or XLR) to your active monitors.

That's the second plug for that product I've seen this week...I'm going to have to look into it. How transparent is it?

Yeah, XLRs are fairly common.

Pretty much - it's passive except for the headphone amp, which you don't have to power or use.
