and if you actually sat through all 3 tracks I dont think you would call it mindless soulless wanking. each solo has a specific theme to fit the track (or so i tried to accomplish, but apparently you guys do not agree with me on this particular subjct).

I like some of what you are doing. The djembe/bongo (djemBo!!!) sound was irritating, but it may be piercing like that for a reason. IDK.

As far as your solos, I'll just give you some rhetorical questions, and leave it at that:

Hum the first couple bars of the solo to "Money" by Pink Floyd.

Hum the first couple bars to the solo to "Stairway to Heaven."

Hum as much of the "Freebird" solo as you can remember.

These three guitarists, in my opinion, have much less technical facility than you displayed. But they have some SOLOS!!!

Can you hum your "solos"?

Can you see why someone would question whether they were in fact solos, based on my line of reasoning?

You have something, though. Explore it some more.

well i agree, i am a huge pink floyde fan, i listen to any thing from death metal to secret cheifs and estradusphere. I fell that what I play has purpose in my mind. One could also argue (even though i like floyd soloes alot) that the soloes are slow and laging. You also only mentioned very cliche "great soloes". A Pantera fan would have some different expectation in soloes than a floyd fan. I feel that a person who is into alot of the more heavy death metal stuff would feel more of the "soul of the solo" than a more floyd, cream (i just gotta say that cream is my favorite classic band) ,zeppelin fan would. I hope you see what im tring to say. Im not trying to ague with any one. Im glad to hear what you have to say.

ohh and yes I can and do actually hum my soloes out loud and in my head, that is how i write them Smile

that song is utterly boring. just because you CAN put different musical instruments together doesnt mean you SHOULD. did you eat a bag of mushroomos when you made this?

Okay, both of you have points that are valid. However civility is sadly lacking. Now, MP, you said to Corrupt that basically he was ignorant, and needs to learn to read before speaking, and it was done in a hostile tone. This proves that you are hostile about your work. Now, thats normal. Its hard to hear critics on something you've put your soul into, we understand that. However if you want an objective opinion you need to be willing to hear the worst and just accept it. Now I think Remy was fair, sarcastic at points, but fair. Not only that, Remy gave you criticism to help you. Try to detach yourself a bit more when you ask for critiques if you can. Now for the rest of us, we listeners need to be caring enough to realize what its like to put something you've done out for other ears, we all done it whether here or elsewhere. So please, be considerate. So yeah, its coming up on 3am, I'm tired, I'm going to bed.
