Could do with a tiny amount of punch.
It's cool stuff though. The things the drums are doing that sound like split triplets (pause and then two fast L R on the kick) they're weak.

For the "punch" how would you suppose I add that?

Walk into a bar, find a big guy and call him ugly?

Punch on a kick is generally the low end - before you get past human hearing. Get yourself a bit of parametric eq, and move it around the low frequencies. Find something that sounds like it wants to implode your head, turn the boost down a little and if it sounds good, that's it.

General tip: slacking off on the compression (if you use it) really helps, especially on snares. So I've found anyway.

okay awesome that helps thanks.

One of my concerns is that the song isn't that loud
I've got it turned up almost to the point of clipping, but it's still not loud

I miss something?

"I miss something?" Mastering.

You get the song sounding good, then a mastering engineer can slam it against the clip wall like you slam a pint glass onto a bar when you're angry.

If you want to DIY, get a compressor, apply it to the stereo mix and fart around with the settings. Compare it with the original (bypass it) often to make sure you're not murdering the sound.
For more info, search the mastering forum.
