Hi All!
Edit: The list of audio interfaces is at the bottom of this post in code tags, its the only way I could lay it out in a table format.
Ok so ive decided for my beginners home studio I need an audio interface as I would like to record vocals, acoustic guitar, base and some other instruments (sometimes together, sometimes individually).
My budget for the audio interface is £300 which has left me with a staggering number of choices - im very confused!
Ive narrowed it down to the following list due to my requirements for 3+ inputs, firewire, midi inputs and PC compatibility.
Given that I have no idea of the difference between any of these, would you guys have any reccomendations which one to choose or which ones to stay away from.
Also are there any other good choices that I have missed?
Thanks very much,
AM.

Im not sure how availible The FP10 from presonus is where you are but it is highly recommended on this forum for that price range.
input=10,
8 preamps, 2 of which can also be unbalanced instrument inputs.
2 digi in
2 digi out
8 seperate line outs
I bought this after reading many a thread on this forum and I am very pleased with its performance. |

Well, the Firepod in the list is now the FP10 due to copywrite issues regarding the name. At any rate, it's likely the best choice at this point. Either that or the MOTU 8Pre. Whichever has the best driver since "the world" is having to "upgrade" to either Vista or Leopard in order to maintain compatibility. |

Maybe you should also consider RME? |
