In Florida housing is built for hurricanes. In Maine for snowstorms. In Arizona for extreme heat. In Canada pine is dirt cheap. In the USA ir is a premium lumber. In the USA paduak is cheap. In Canada it is expensive. In North America, drywall type construction is the norm. In South Africa drywall is unknown. In southern China and east asia Fiberglass insulation is unknown.
