Ok, here's a song that I've been writing on for a bit now and just put together today. This is my first go at a rough mix...it's called "On Monday". Sorry, I don't have any drums and didn't feel like programming any for this.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=829643
I'd love any/all critiques but would especially like to hear someone suggest some EQ/frequency adjustments. I'm not smart with things to cut/boost, etc.
Happy 4th!
Thanks. |

The slow parts remind me of Mundy, maybe because you keep saying it.
It's a cool sound. |

Thanks.
I'm not familiar with Mundy...is that a band or a song?
==================================
Anyone else? I still feel like the guitar(s) and vocals are a bit muddy, I"d like more separation and space. Perhaps I'll go back and re-record using some different mics to try and combat that as I stuck with the same few mics for everything.
I might adjust the tempo down too, feels like I'm rushing to get the words out more than I should.
Ok, done thinking out loud now. |

That guy is good...thanks for turning me on to him. I guess your comments are a compliment? If so, then thank you.
Though, I'm really pining for critiques on the mix. Can I buy an opinion or some advice? Maybe I should cover another Beatles song?!
I'm in the process of re-doing the entire thing anyway, but I'd like to hear some feedback on this attempt. |
